justplanes.com reports:
The 2 airlines (added: SAA and Nigeria) have started negotiations about the Johannesburg-Lagos-New York JFK route operated jointly. It has been reported that SAA is happy with the Johannesburg to Lagos sector but the loads on the transatlantic sector have been poor since 11Sep02. Flights have been operated by South African with a Boeing 747-300 using a SAA cockpit crew and mixed cabin crew.
The South African airline will also hold talks with other airlines in case the agreement with Nigeria is canceled ; one of those is Air Senegal and Lagos would then be replaced with Dakar.
