I know that very few folks visit this board, but thought I'd give it a shot. And as I take more frequent trips to and around the African continent, I find myself flying SAA on a more consistent basis...maybe I can shake loose a couple of you who also fly SAA but who do not post here regularly.
I have had a horrendous time getting all of my Voyager info. straightened out with SAA. When I originally signed up, they seemingly ignored ALL of my personal info. except for my name. So, for a few months, they had only my Voyager number and name, but nothing else. I've been attempting to work with the FLL service center to actually update my rcords, but even that has proven difficult. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone last week updated my record (so I thought), only to find that very little of the info. was actually input into my account (after checking in through the internet).
No problem, I'll just log into my account on the internet and update my record myself. Well, I've tried a dozen times or so. Each time, however, I am given a "submittal failure" message every time I spend all this time filling out all of the fields and then submitting to SAA for updating. What gives?
Also, the website won't display ANY detailed previous flight info. It displays my total miles, but that's it. It does offer to e-mail me my info., but since I can't seem to update my record with an e-mail address, this is a moot issue.
I simply want to know if any of you have had similar troubles with Voyager or if I am the anomoly. I guess I can always go into the physical Voyager Office at JNB my next time through, but I'd prefer to handle this like I could with any other airline. These folks make Mileage Plus look like rocket scientists!
