Apologies if this should go in the Mileage Plus forum - mods please move if required.

I booked my first Hertz rental following the links from www.unitedairlines.co.uk to http://www.hertzft.com, which then populates the discount and promo codes on the Hertz booking page.

After the rental I have received 500 miles for the online booking bonus, but Hertz are saying that because I used a United discount code, the rental is not eligible to earn miles. However the small print on Hertzft.com clearly states :

"To be eligible to receive miles, completed rentals must include United Mileage Plus number. Discount CDP number 62455 and Promotional Coupon (PC) 120352 must appear in the reservation to qualify for triple miles. "

Any ideas who/where/how I can get the miles?

Thanks

I'm also experiencing a similar problem. I booked using the www.hertzft.com website, which is now offering a "Triple Miles Plus 1000 Mile Booking Bonus". I did receive the base miles (50) plus the triple (another 100), but I still haven't seen the 1000 bonus miles from my rentals in either July or August. I called UA who told me to call Hertz. When I talked to Hertz, they argued with me at first, and then told me that they would submit my case to the "Hertz Frequent Traveler" team to see whether I am supposed to receive the 1000 mile booking bonus.

What gives?

Wow, talk about drama. Here's Hertz's reply to my inquiry thus far:

Wow - it looks like a survivor of the multiple layoffs at OKC. Congratulations, Jen. I didn't think there was anyone left there considering how my e-forms always took 4-6 weeks to complete.
