Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - asia miles newbie

i recently took cathay pacific. not my first time taking the airline, but it is our (my family and i) first time to sign up for asia miles. since we go to the philippines almost every 1-4 years, we decided to sign up.

not really familiar with how this stuff works. so sorry if i sound really ignorant. if i travel a certain amount of miles, my family and i will get rewards such as free tickets, seat upgrades, etc. right?

Your amount of travel may not get you to use these benefits. Asia Miles expires 3-4 years from the transaction date. You may not be able to accumulate enough to redeem a ticket or an upgrade.
