Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Need help - appreciate it

I know it's a long shot and out of the ordinary, but a girl whom I can't personally see her off and hence will be separated in 2 countries for months, will be flying on July 5, 08 with Cathay Pacific CX873. (SFO - HKG)

Just realized that I could pre-order on-flight gifts, but the call center responded that it must be ordered > 24hrs. So I am out of luck.

Trying to be creative here, would there be any chance a passenger on the same flight that may be able to do me a little favor? i.e. I will prepaid you so that you can order it on-flight on my behalf :) - I called longd to the HKG office to no avail and this is what the call center suggested as a last resort.

Yes, sometimes one have to go the extra miles to get something done. On a different note, any other great suggestions? (meant to be surprise)

Please stick to one thread only and you'll get better responses. But maybe you may just surprise your loved one with flowers upon arrival in Hong Kong instead? There are many Meet and Greet services available who'd be able to arrange that for you at HKIA.
