Interesting, this offer runs through the Olympics. Admittedly, Shanghai is not a major Olympic venue, but every China hotel manager has had stars in their eyes for a long time now and now reality is beginning to sink in. Look for some really cheap rates throughout the country post-Olympics, provided that China decides to allow people to pay $130 for the privilege of getting a visa once again.

Would be a great offer if they could pick the hotel up and move it to a better location. Hopefully the new construction they are doing at the end of the official bund will better connect these two areas, but in May with a bridge closed it was a pretty difficult trek between the real bund and and the Hyatt on the Bund.

I just returned from my first trip to Shanghai and was thinking the same thing -- it should be called the "Hyatt sort of at the end of the Bund." (I stayed at the InterContinental Pudong, which was, with the exception of the service, wholly unimpressive but under renovation.)
