Hi all,

I have been heard from B6 is rumors more new service from FLL-FOR. Here the link from entire a.net today:

http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/4053142/

Hopefully if they will receiving approval from DOT to begin service from FLL-FOR but, it was good enough range by operated of A320 series. I haven't hear anything more information from B6 at FLL. I knows some specific routes has been already discontinuation from FLL-BQN/PSE by earlier 2008.

That would be interesting to see and would allow them to link up with Azul if they wanted to (and if Azul flew in to FOR). Still, I would be somewhat surprised to see them introduce a capacity-limited route unless there was the feeling that they could drive significant price premiums on the routing. Maybe they can on that route, but who knows.

I'm also not sure what the ETOPS rating is, if any, of JetBlue's fleet. From what I can see there is a narrow band of airspace very close to FOR that is OK @ 120 minutes but possibly not at 60 or 90 minutes. The SXM and AUA routes (the other long flights over water) do not have similar ETOPS issues thanks to the many other islands in the Caribbean that they can use.

And considering that MCO-BOG it getting shelved for now, adding the FLL-FOR flights seems like a stretch. As an ignorant observer I'd guess that there is more biz traffic to BOG than FOR and that's where the money is going to be.

DL has filed to serve Brasil from ATL to commence winter 08.

Manuas to be served daily.
Fortaleza 4x weekly.

Somewhat related, Spirit has filed to serve Brasil from FLL to commence fall 09.

Manaus to be served daily.

As reported on airliners.net AA has filed to serve Brasil fromMIA.

Salvador-Recife to be served daily.
Belo Horizonte 4x weekly.

These are the only applications I know of so far.
