Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Unable to book Standard Award at Camelback Inn in 2009

Why can't I book a single night on a standard award from Jan. 1, 2009 thru June 2009 at the Camelback? Conversely there are tons of available nights on a standard award thru Dec. 31st, but after that date it only shows Stay Anytime awards.

A similar thing seems to be happening at the Desert Ridge from mid-Feb on through the spring. Do these hotels just not load reward availabilty during high season until closer to the time?

I checked with Marriott about this a few weeks ago. I was looking for paid nights and all I could get was rates of $549/night for weeks on end. The Marriott agent thought they had not loaded other pricing/award options.

It sounds like room inventory has not been loaded if only one rate (the platinum override) is showing up when a platinum members is checking for room rates.
