Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Only Person in F?

I have been told by the lounge attendant that I am supposed to be the only person in F tonight from MEL-HKG. :D
That should be fun.
Maybe caviar could be my main course?
If so, I think wwould be worth the 75 minute wait after the QF flight to HKG...although the close the QF F lounge at that time and kick you out/down the CX and/or QF business class lounges.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to book and receive a massage in the QF F lounge as a CX passenger.

Isn't Melbourne going to be all A33B soon, means that there is no more First Class?
I also had the luxury of being the only person F (last June, early morning PVG-HKG). It wasn't "really" F, but it was good enough for me. I had three attendants serving me! It was so private and absolutely fantastic.
About the carviar, I heard that they load carviar based on loads? And the "allowance" for carviar is half a bottle per passenger.

Happened to me two months ago SFO-HKG in F, I was the only pax. A few months before that, same route SFO-HKG there were two of us in F. Last week (SFO-HKG again) there were 4 of us...and I think one was a mileage upgrade at the last minute.

I'm not sure how big a bottle is, but I had four helpings (and no dinner) when I was the only pax in F SFO-HKG two months ago. :) Is that healthy?

Actually it is the reverse. MEL is now all 333 (with F) and SYd is all 33B (with new C but no F).

The last two times I've been on 884 HKG-LAX, same thing. Once my traveling companion and I were the only ones, and most recently, I was one of two pax. I've started to wonder if this leaves at an unpopular time of day (around 1 p.m., IIRC). There's nothing like being in an empty 747 F cabin, feels just like a private jet. (I imagine, never having been on one.)
with so few seats taken on these flights, I'm wondering if CX does open up award inventory(perhaps to AA mileage awards)

That also depends on AA. It is not free to them.

There are quite a few J passengers on SFO-HKG. In addition, Y is often oversold. I saw in my May and June trips that a few Y passengers were op-upped to J, bumping some J passengers to F.

Since when is Caviar come in a bottle?:D I think they will have to load at least 1 tin/serving container

Well when more 33B goes online MEL should also be converted to 2 class.
Hopefully more 74A becomes available and they can rotate one to SYD.

Well, I was indeed the only one in F and it was a lot of fun (the part for which I was akae). I am not sure how much caviar they had on board, but my light supper consisted entirtely of three increasingly generous servings of caviar (with a little smoked salmon).
They did run out of toast points, thought.
Otherwise, it was a treat.
Now off to MNL.

Way to cut down on the carbs and increase your protein intake!:D

If there is an empty seat in CX F, it is almost free for CX, but that does not mean it is almost free for their partners.

Going empty for CX and not AA so why would AA care about that?
If it is a revenue booking on the codeshare then that will be different.

yes I think QF is indeed much better / more generous than BA on this - in LHR only BA pax has access to the spa treatment, even though you have access to the lounge itself. while for QF, I have enjoyed its spa service a few times already, and usually the availability is actually quite good (at least from my experience). I heard that when you're traveling QF F, they'll actually call you a day in advance to check if you want to schedule the spa in advance (but I haven't experienced this myself at all in my ~5 QF F flights last year - maybe they don't have my # / email on file or sth and I have my CX DM number in the booking).
