Hello,
i'm based in france and lof course no one here is aware of US cent benefits...
I have read somewhere that existed partnership whith companies and Amex cent for charter. (i'm not interrested in buying a card with 20 hours or so.)
has anyone used the CTS to charter private flights.
What are the benefits ?
Which company would you recommend for quality of planes and aminities?
i am looking for a small 3pax flight from LAS to LAX.
Any advices?
Many thanks
You can often get better charter rates looking yourself. Esp. in a market like LAS-LAX, the competition could provide "reasonable" rates (for a charter, at least).
3 pax for a short trip (< 1 hour) would be ideal in a Cessna Citation, Lear or Hawker jet. Anything larger would probably be overkill. There are many charter "brokers" that can find you a charter company at any airport. Just do some googling. I can assure you that whatver vendor AMEX finds for you will be the most expensive option.

assumptions are so helpful PHL.
i know US cent offers jet benefits, no clue how other countries compare. m-site and Jblackbelt's site have details on US benefits IIRC.

Hi Guys. I know that this is a little of topic but if anyone knows any good (reasonably priced) charter brokers who deal with reputable and safe folks, I'm interested. PM me if you would. I've been considering a Marquis Jet card but feel that the rates are very hight for what you are buying. Thoughts?

I happen to think that assumption is rather spot on. Have you ever tried to use a car service through AMEX PTS or CTS? How about something as simple as ordering flowers or purchasing scalped tickets? Without fail, the AMEX provided option is always more expensive and often of lesser quality than what's available elsewhere on the open market. Of course, many don't care about this and are more concerned with convenience, however the OP's request for a reasonable priced charter operation would lead one to look outside of the AMEX provided choices.

You'll probably get the best price working with an operator in Las Vegas, as they'll bill you the RT from LAS-LAX-LAS. If you use an LA operator, you'll be paying the ferry cost also from LAX to VNY or BUR where most of the planes are located.
Or you could fly into VNY and take a 10 minute copter ride to LAX.
Try Clay Lacy or Jet Copters @ Van Nuys Airport.
