I am trying to get rid of all my Dividend Miles and have just enough left for a saver domestic ticket. I'd love to get one home to Albuquerque this summer (airfare from BOS is over $400), but US is showing only premium miles all summer long. I was thinking I might try to book a ticket on United -- according to their website, they have some saver availability in August -- but I'm not 100% sure how to go about this.
Do I just call US and tell them I want to book a flight on United? If so, are the flights/mileage levels shown on the United website the same that the US agent will have access to (such that I can pick my itinerary in advance and just direct the agent there)?
