I'm going to HNL from Dec 24-30. Advantage is offering a $29.99 daily rate for a premium car, but only if I reserve for a full week (Dec. 24-31). Oddly, this is a daily, not weekly, rate. And it's much cheaper than Advantage's rate if I book for only 6 days. It's also much, much cheaper than any other companies rates, either weekly or daily, during that time.
With other car rental companies, it wouldn't usually be a problem to reserve a car for 7 days and return it after 6. If it's a weekly rental, you'd just pay the weekly rate. And if it's a daily rental, you'd just pay for 6 days rental.
It sounds like Advantage isn't quite like other agencies. I called them to ask how returning my car a day early would affect the rate. They told me that it would go up to $40/day for the entire 6 days. This seems odd...and it's not at all reflected on any of the terms and conditions in the booking. I have a hunch that it's bad information.
Has anyone tried anything like this with Advantage?
