American Express Membership Rewards - MR Germany ==> Hilton HHonors - anything better than 1:1 ?
I currently need about 160.000 HHonors points for an award. Okay, I could simply transfer them from AX MR to HHonors with a exchange rate of 1:1, but I don't like that so much.
Since the detour over Amtrak (AX MR ==> Continental ==> Amtrak ==> Hilton) doesn't work anymore, I wonder if there might be another and better way to get most of the points out a german MR account.
Any ideas?

I know you can do the AX MR to Mexicana airlines to HHonors for 1:2 - so if you transferred 80000 AX MR you'd then have 160000 HHonors points after both transfers.
I haven't tried this myself, but it shows it as a possibility on this site:

The only minor flaw in your suggestion I see is that Mexicana is not a partner of the German MR program ...

Does Germany have an American Express though? :p
Mexicana will not re-transfer points, as reported here in 2006...

Thanks. I guess that Inside Flyer chart is woefully out of date then.
Sorry for the mis-information OP!

You can convert it to Priority Club 1:1.
The points will count to your Membership level as well!

Unfortunately, you are right. The inside Flyer chart is absolutely out of date, because it also lists the Amex ==> Continental ==> Amtrak ==> HHonors option.
But this works only for transfers up to 25.000 Miles and only for Amtrak Elite Members, not for just anybody and not for > 25.000 Miles per year.
