Hilton HHonors - Change in Status Effect on Extant Reservations

Yesterday, I made Diamond (I am a long-time SPG Platinum, but moved over to Hilton). I have a bunch of reservations outstanding for our summer vacation, made while I was still a Gold. Will my status change be reflected in those reservations, or should I re-book them in order to have Diamond show?

I am sure there is an existing thread on this topic, but I did not find it.

You don't have to do anything, your status will be reflected on currently booked reservations. Just carry your card and a print out of your booking and you should be fine.

If your confirmation numbers are easily copy-'n'-pastable, I would suggest emailing the Diamond desk with your confirmation numbers (yes, they can look them up this makes more likely that it will happen) and ask that the following be added to the comments of all your reservations: "REQ AVL DMD UPGRADE."

Thanks! I had reasonably good upgrades from SPG and I hope for the same from Hilton! And, upgrades on vacation with the family are the most important!

Definitely contact the Diamond Desk regarding placing a note about Diamond Level upgrades.

Any reservations made when you were a Gold will reflect the Gold level, not the new Diamond one. Don't know why the Hilton system does not update statuses on previously made reservations.

I had changed from Gold to Diamond two months before a reservation made when I was still a Gold. My reservation at the hotel did not reflect my Diamond status. Luckily I had printed out my HHonors page that said I was a Diamond. My new diamond card had not arrived yet.
