Hilton HHonors - Question about triple points

So I booked a stay at the Embassy Suites Bellevue, WA for two nights ($239 per night) on a triple points promotion. My question is as a Diamond member, how many points will I actually receive? For my double dip I opt for the points and points.

The Diamond bonus only applies to the standard 10 points per dollar that are awarded. For this stay you will receive the following:

30 points per dollar for the triple point rate plus
5 points per dollar for being Diamond plus
5 points per dollar for the double dip

TOTAL: 40 points per dollar

It wasn't really a promo I found, I just went to book a room on the website and that was one of the rates available. It was about $10 a night more than the AAA rate I usually get but I figured for triple points it was worth it.

The Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas has the same offer.

I am seeing a lot of hotels offer double or triple points, since Hilotn has not run the promo in a while I guess the hotels are trying to fill some rooms.

If I book a stay on a Triple Points Promo and that stay costs USD$3000 in total then I would get 90,000 points as a Blue member plus airline miles or 135,000 points if I chose points and points.

That one stay would get me to Gold from Blue correct?

It would be nice, if it was so easy, but it doesn't work this way.

I have seen few 2x or 3x point offers that were worth the extra cost of booking. IMO basically they are another rip-off to you or your company.

Choosing points and points would net an additional 15,000 points, not 45,000. It's 5 extra points per $. It's not tripled.

I think you quoted the wrong post. It's NZ_Flyer, not DaveMidknight, who (erroneously) thought the bonus points would be tripled.
