Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Can I get a shower with only 1 hour?

We will be arriving HK on Nov. 22 CX 889 in J from YVR which is scheduled to arrive 7:50 am. We were on CX 835 that got cancelled and we got moved to this later flight, with very little time in HK to experience the lounge. We are connecting to Dragonair 212 at 8:55. Will we have time to grab a shower and bite to eat before the flight to Phuket? What are the logistics of the arrival of 889 and departure of 212. Are the gates close together? Or will we need to bypass the lounge and hustle to the gate?

1 Hour is a bit short although HKG is one of the easiest airport to transfer. It is 1 big terminal airside with no change of terminals required.

Before you land they normally have connecting gates and also the gate no you arrive in. There are also a number of different transit poitns scattered throughout the airport in arrivals/departures.

Depending on where you land and where the KA flight departs you got a choice of the Wing and the Pier.

I think shower and a bit to eat might be pushing - given the gate close 10 minutes before departure. Also the shower attendant do check the BP and might you allow you to take a shower.

If I am you I will jsut grab a bit to eat and then head to the gate (even that mgith be pushing it if the incoming flight is delayed).

I've done it before. It's a rush, but you can do it. Just find the lounge ASAP and hope the shower's aren't in use or you might have to wait a bit. But 1 hours is enough. Take a quick shower and run to your gate.
