I was sure I had seen a thread asking this question before but the search engine drew a blank. Therefore, can anyone confirm if there is an arrivals lounge at HKG for CX business class pax (like the BA arrivals lounge at LHR T4/T5)? The CX website features "The Wing" and "The Pier" but it not clear if these facilities are for the exclusive use of outbound and transit F/J pax. I am hoping there are some facilities available as my flight arrives at 0610 and I would like to have a shower and get changed before heading into Hong Kong. Thank you in advance for any help and advice.

No there isn't. But most hotels in HK allow early check-in, and even if full will allow you to use the health club facilities for a shower etc.

according to this local forum, an arrival lounge will be set up soon in HKG.

Is that true though about the potential admission policy? I can understand allowing non-F/J passengers who are MPO GO or above in, but oneworld elites too? Arrivals lounges are typically outside oneworld lounge access rules. I know CX passengers can use AA arivals lounge in LHR, but someone mentioned that's because CX gives you a letter of admission or something along those lines.

My thoughts exactly. Take LHR as an example, BA only allow F/J and Executive Club Gold members into their Arrivals Lounge. Seeing that The Wing and The Pier are already ever so crowded, I would only admit F/J pax and Diamonds if I were CX!

Any why is it in T2?! Makes no sense at all...

Because there is no suitable room left in T1?
Hopefully it will have early opening hours as it will be good for the early arriving flight from SYD which regularly gets in around 4am.

Very welcome addition if the news is true. Not that I need much more than a shower on arriving.

Last time i was in HKG there was a new arrivals lounge (not CX, i think it was a Priority Club where you can pay to visit) in the Tunnel between T1 and T2 - take the exit for the Taxis and then instead of turning left for the taxi queue go straight to the Bus station.T2. The lounge is in the tunnel on the left hand side.

I saw that too. Arrival lounge is not an OW benefit. I doubt if it can be extended to other OW FFs if their own airlines are not paying for it.

I am unsure if J passengers can access, according to the rumour.

Hmmmm does that mean the new Amex CX card will allow entry to these?

Diner's Club USA lists the HKG Plaza Premium lounges as free for the cardholder; charges for additional guests.

The current arrival lounge is:

I am looking forward to a new CX lounge. I will not be using it often, but it is nice if I have to head to a meeting or dinner immediately upon arrival, and I do not have enough time to go back home for a shower.

So is this all speculation or is this definitely going to happen? Is there a confirmed grand opening date?
