Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX461,CX838 seat selection

2 of my relative are traveling TPE-HKG-YVR tomorrow(TPE,HKG time 06/29)
TPE-HKG flight no. is CX461(772)
HKG-YVR flight no. is CX838(343 2-class)
I always avoid CX flight cuz I had a really bad experience but unfortunately my cousins are traveling on CX(they will be jammed in small Economy seats).
Just asking for some advice on seat selection

I've already visited but there's no exit row seats. I am trying to avoid those seats that have metal boxes under the seats.

When you say there are no exit row seats do you mean you can't find them on the seat map or they are all already taken by other passengers?

From my limited non-bulkhead, non-exit row Y experience, the IFE box tends to be located underneath an isle seat. Hence on a 34D, they will be located under C, D, G and H. Therefore, if two people want to sit together with no IFE boxes underneath the seats infront of them then they will need to go for E and F - the middle seats. This could vary by aircraft and aircraft types.

Thank you for the help! The seats are already taken. I'll try my best to select the best available seats.

For me all economy class seats on all airlines are the same, uncomfortable, however if I have to choose I would choose always an aisle seat.
