Anyone know of an airline to transfer MR into where you can travel from PHX> SYD or LAX>SYD using Membership Rewards points without capacity control like Delta Sky Choice, etc? I do not want to use the purchase ticket option using MR points. You go can go down under with Continental but you have to make at least a couple stops.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

There is no redemption anywhere that I am aware of that is not capacity controlled. Even the CO route via GUM to CNS will have limits on redemptions. CO also has QF as a partner but at HORRID redemption rates.

Beyond that you can choose whether you want to use SkyTeam, Star Alliance or One World and transfer into an appropriate partner to meet your needs.

You can get a certificate for a ticket on Qantas for 82,500 (http://www.membershiprewards.com/catalog/travel/TravelPartner.aspx?brandId=3798&N=). The only catch is that you'll have to get to LAX on your own. I did this for a ticket to Auckland in 2001. You'll still have to call for availability, as the certificate's only good for certain classes.

No problem getting to LAX but was looking for biz class without capacity control.

You can get a flight on Hawaiian, which is a direct partner to MR. It's 210,000 miles for an anytime business class ticket from the mainland to Sydney. Note that it's essentially domestic first class; it's not as nice as international business class on other airlines.

And it stops in SYD on the way, which is either good or bad, depending on your point of view.

That reward is 2x normal points, or the equivalent of DL SkyChoice, which the OP said they weren't keen on in the first post. Plus, given the horrid value that option provides I'd plan ahead and book where you can if at all possible.
