Hilton HHonors - Hilton Took Points Away From Stays Two Months Ago

Today I noticed I didn't get credit for a stay and put in a request. The woman emails me and tells me that she isn't giving me credit for three overalapping stays because I wasn't there. I am pasting the email below. Well I was there, I had my son or my wife check in sometimes because they would beat me to the hotel, but I was there and I paid for hte room(s).

Needless to say she took about 50,000 points from my account. I am a 2 x HHonors Diamind VIP member and I'm so angry that I'm actually subdued. I know Hyatt has a loyalty match program maybe I'll go there. HHONORS SUCKS.

As a diamnod member I thought I was one of Hilton's best customers. It's strange how I feel like a rape victim in need of a cold shower after this. Is this how a company treats its most loyal customers. Is there a tier after diamond I don't know about that gets better treatment. Is ther Pink Diamond VIP. Don't tell me I'm important and do taht to me. The time I am wasting trying to get this fixed and argue why this is their mistake is ridiculous. I spend over $100,000 / year at hilton properties and have so for the last two years. What right do they have to say a word to me.

WELL YOU JUST LOST YOUR CUSTOMER and anyone looking to earn status go to Hyatt. You'll find me there, they take hilton Diamond Vips through their reciprocity program. Besides last time I was at the Disney Hyatt it was really nice, better than the POS doubletree or embassy suites that Hilton offers at Disney world. How can a decent hotel chain not offer a clean hotel at DISNEY WORLD. Anyway Enough wasting my time. F*K Hilton find a better hotel to stay in.

See letter below

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Diamond Special Services.

I posted your stay at the Hilton Portland for the dates of May 18, 2008 to May 21, 2008. Upon review of your stay activity I found several stays which were not for your personal travel posted to the HHonors account. The stays listed below have been removed. The Hilton HHonors program offers individual guest account only therefore; you are unable to earn stay credits, night credits, points and miles for stays which are not the guest.

Note: you may view policies regarding accrual of points at www.hiltonfamily.com or www.hiltonhhonors.com

Stays Removed:

May 17, 2008 to May 19, 2008 at the Hilton Paris
May 19, 2008 to May 20, 2008 at Hilton London Metropole
May 14, 2008 to May 17, 2008 at Hilton London Metropole
May 16, 2008 to May 21, 2008 at Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter per reservation was cancelled & you were Portland, Oregon on these dates

Please contact us if you need any further assistance. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for your loyalty!

yeah, it's odd. How do they know/assume that you were in Portland, Oregon?
Could they track you with HH credit card:confused::confused:

You need to read the ENTIRE letter! He contacted Diamond Services to post his missing stay in Portland.

Followed by this response:

Obviously, this first-time poster (who just joined FT a few hours ago) is trying to get credit for multiple stays on the SAME dates for properties across the world from each other. If you put two and two together, it's easy to see how he MIGHT have got his Diamond status. I would have removed the other stays as well. No hotel program would tolerate this kind of fraud.

I see that now. A violation of T&C.

By the way, There is an individual spend more than $100,000/year at hilton properties. wow!!

$100,000 pays $333/nts X 300nts assuming that one does not burn points at all, when he accumulates at very least 1.5 million points/year. And he leaves hilton because of 50,000pts?

If he has HH credit card and was participated promotions, he now has 2 million points+ X 2years= more than 4 million points. I can never imagine throwing 4 million points.

If they decided he was in Portland, OR from May 18 to May 21, why did they remove stay credit for May 14, 2008 to May 17, 2008 at Hilton London Metropole?

It did not overalp.

Hilton might have suspected that all the stays made in europe are not his stay.

The OP needs to take a more diplomatic position and contact Diamond special services with the proof of stays and dates that do not overlap since something is obviously fishy. Shouting out obscenities in your first post does not bode well for establishing your character. Violating the T&C's with overlapping stays could just get your entire account wiped out.

So the OP was at three properties on two different continents at the same time?? I don't get it. If I were looking at this account from HHonors I'd be mighty suspicious too.

..and to compare the removal of your Hilton points to rape seems to me to be more than a little offensive.

How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?

To be fair, I have seen some posts here from some long-term guests who might stay at 2 properties at once.

An example, they might be staying, say at a Homewood Suites here in the PHX area for 2 weeks. During that time, they decide to go to SAN for the weekend in between and stay at a Hilton there. They remain checked-in and keep belongings in the room here in PHX, but they obviously are not present.

Would this guest get points/stay credit for both properties at the same time?

That said, I agree with the other posts, what is listed here seems a bit of a stretch.

Good question...but my move would be to check out of PHX and check back in upon my return from SAN...extra stay credit and stuff. ;)

I think the OP is just pissed that he got caught. :D

It doesn't just seem that way to you. Maybe he can cash in some HHonors points for sensitivity training....or a brain.

This thread is going nowhere fast and is starting to devolve into personal attacks.

Unless the Hilton forum moderators are convinced otherwise, this thread is now closed.
