Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Free Extension for Green Member?

Did anyone experience the same before ?

I am green on Macro Polo since join and expiring this month, I was grounded this year except 1 redeemed round trip. Suddenly tonight when I login to MPC I found my membership year extended for free.

I only filled in 1 questionnaire on my KA flight to KHH in May, and average 50K AM by Credit Card per year

Any Clue :confused:

(And thanks a lot for the MPC to extend my membership .. save a lot of hassle for my July Asia tour ^)

As far as I know, once you're in MPC, you stay in MPC even if you don't fly.

Er .. As I remember my boss got bumped from SL to AM (Asia Miles) as he don't fly on CX in 2006 (though he got comp-ed to CX SL again when KA merge)

My parents have been inactive green members for years as they have been travelling entirely on my miles or non-AM related flights. They haven't lost their memberships.

I guess there is no conclusion on this subject.:confused:

i've been a green member for so many years ... and i only average 1 (paid) CX flight per year.

they renew it automatically. if they don't, give them a call and they'll do it.
