Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Equipment HKG-LHR, New seats ?

I am an SQ refugee trying CX for the first time AKL-LHR-AKL. With huge premiums on A380 aircraft to London its time to look for an alternative and CX seems the best choice.

I am flying CX ex AKL 17 Jul CX108 connecting CX 251 and returning 25 Jul ex LHR CX 250 connecting to CX 117 all in J.

From the timetables I can see the A340 flights listed as 34D which I presume means new beds but for the HKG-LHR-HKG flights it ominously says EQV (Equipment varies) and I see only 10 747 aircraft have the new beds the rest have old seats.

So am I correct CX 117/118 have new beds and what might the 250/251 flights have or is it a lottery?

Any advice would be helpful.

34Ds do not have the new seats.

It's a lottery with the new seats with last minute equipment swaps depending on loads.

251/0 and 255/2 are 74As.

253/4 is 34C and 257/6 is 34D.

And btw, it's more like 14 74As rather than 10 on CX.com...
