SAS EuroBonus - UA MP provided me with excellent customer service

I have a trip planned to New York City in two weeks. Much to my dismay 4 of my complimentary upgrades expired on July 1st. I needed at least one of the upgrade certificates to bump me up to first class. I called MP customer service and asked them if there was any way I could have the expired upgrades extended for two weeks? I was told no, but then the lady on the phone offered to add a complimentary 500 miler upgrade to my account! I cannot tell you how pleased I was with this woman's generosity. This is just one more reason why I fly UA and will continue to do so.
