Hyatt Gold Passport - Promo-new members only?-stay 2 get one

Saw a placcard with this promo when I was at the Hyatt place Ont 2 weeks ago.
Anyone have any more info on this-asking for a friend.
Could this be done via customer service-or does it have to be done on site?
