With the exception of the time I catapulted off a Flexible Flyer five winters ago, I haven't been airborne in more than a decade. Like most of you, I've heard the airport horror stories of lost luggage, delayed or canceled flights and interminable waits for security checks.
The more recent three-ounce shampoo limit, separate luggage charges and ever-rising ticket costs convinced me that Dinah Shore was right: If I wanted to see the USA, I'd do so in my Chevrolet.

So they got the normal WN service and somehow feel that is a newsworthy event? Wow. I know he said he hasn't flown in 10+ years, but this seems to be a bit over the top in terms of making air travel seem so great these days.

Sadly he has only his own industry to blame, as the reporters are the ones who make it seem that flying is a miserable experience every time, when in reality things work just fine most of the time. But normal life just is not newsworthy.

A reporter that hasn't flown on a plane in ten years is newsworthy? Really, who cares?

My thought exactly.

So? It was a light hearted piece. It seemed most of the work was satire, which I thoroughly enjoy.
