Hi,

I just want to have some information regarding Bora Bora and Visa Requirments (For me lovely missus! btw Im British so no worries for me!).

1) My missus has an Indian Passport, if travelling to French Polynesia, will a French or Schengen Visa be enough?

2) What is the best way to get there? (On BA 1st choice, Oneworld 2nd Choice, others if no other option) and also have to consider that as missus is Indian passport, i would like to avoid as many places which will not allow her to transit unless she has a Visa ( especially the US as they could possibly veto the entire trip if they are having a bad day and dont issue her a visa! problem is that she is not married to me yet and she lives in india, they may think that she will overstay, work illegally because she is indian and has a hand to mouth existence etc!)

3) Any idea of the cost?

May be better if you had posted this in the Oneworld Forum as BA don't fly to Bora Bora IIRC (unles you mean the nightclub in Ibiza:D)

god forbid i end up in Ibiza, it just reminded me of the couple who booked to go to sydney on air canada but ended up in Sydney, newfoundland or something!

I just want to go as far as i can on BA on my way there! I posted it here because after reading this forum over the last year. BA fters seem to be incredibly knowledgable!

after reading Schofs blog, im having 2nd thoughts (Prices seems sky high! ill go there once in my lifetime but only when i am minted!)

BA will get you to SYD from where you would need to take Air Tahiti Nui (also as a QF codeshare) or NZ to Tahiti. Alternatively you can go to LAX and from there take either Air Tahiti Nui again or use Air France. If you want to go on oneworld metal, then the only way to do this is via SCL and IPC on LA.

Bora Bora is a very expensive place but there are ways around it. So it is up to you how much money you will spend.
