Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - CX293 & FCO Connection

Due to fly CX293 on a J award with my partner next month, connecting to a BA flight to LHR. Right now, we have 1h10 to connect in FCO.
From EF, it looks like CX293 sees an average 50m delay, 20% of the time.

I'd be a bit nervous about the connection to start with given that its Italy. Does anyone have any experience with this flight?
Any chance we'd be able to get on a non-stop to LHR if we were delayed?

As long the entire itinerary is on one ticket, you should be alright.

While you wouldn't have to change terminals in FCO as both CX and BA operate out of terminal C, 1h10 is cutting it a bit close.
