In a stay last week I found the Knoxville Hilton to be definitely above average. Was assigned a nice room with a view of the Tennesee River. As a Diamond was given coupons good for a full hot breakfast in the restaurant (which was very good). Every staff member we came in contact with went out of their way to provide friendly and competent service. By the way, if you do decide, as we did, to walk down to a restaurant by the river be warned it is farther than it looks and the last stretch down to river level is very steep!
