I've earned two tickets so far. Just got an emailed redemption code for one stay.

They gave me one for an award stay this weekend. Not sure if it was an accident or not, but that put me up to three.

Well, the value of this promotion seems to be very low to me..
You are only allowed to redeem it for a lawn ticket with no seat assigned.
In Dallas that costs about 10-15 dollars for most concerts.
Also you have to pay extra for parking. You are not allowed to pay the difference for an upgrade
I would rather buy a ticket with assigned seats, which would only cost
about $25 each for the cheapest ones.
At the same time, Marriott and Sheraton are giving away 30,000 and 24,000 points for summer stays...

Also, I found out yesterday by validating my Live Nation "membership, the pool of venues/concerts are very limited.

As usual Hilton's promo doesn't compare to other programs, but to get something free without having to book a special (higher) rate is pretty good for them. I was a wee bit impressed.

So now my thought is to redeem and give the tickets away.

YMMV.

For once, this promo might be useful to me. I've been trying to do Hilton family stays to extend my diamond membership and Live Nation does quite a few of the concerts at Saratoga Performing Arts Center ("SPAC") which isn't far from where I live and is great for lawn seating. Some of the upcoming events include:
- sheryl crow/tools and the maytals
- The Police with special guest Elvis Costello
- Counting Crows
- Saratoga Music Festival with a bunch of people including Bob Dylan
- Allman Bros band
...

This may be a little out of line, but I found this thread while trying to figure out what this Hilton promo was. I'm a concert photographer based in NYC. Typically, the way things work is that, in exchange for coverage, I'm given a ticket and a photo pass to an event. LiveNation, cheap as they are, are only willing to administer credentials for photo passes if photographers purchase their tickets, which is ridiculous as, in a lot of cases (such as my own), we're not getting paid for our work, but are rather attempting to put together portfolios and gain exposure in what little venues we can. Given that, I was wondering if anyone with a promo code who can't use it for whatever reason (like you Canadians out there) would be willing to lend it to a nice girl with a camera? I'd be greatly appreciative and could even send you some prints, if you're interested in any of the bands I end up shooting.

I spoke to someone at livenation and apparently the FAQ at the website is incorrect. Just because an event is listed at livenation.com/hilton it does not mean tickets are available. In fact, despite having 2 venues within a reasonable distance there is not one show available which I am interested in for which I can use my 2 free tickets.

For what it's worth, I've had luck redeeming 8 codes for 8 concert tickets: Sheryl Crow, James Blunt, Maroon 5 and Counting Crows.

I was unsuccessful in using the codes for Journy and INXS shows... but otherwise, didn't have too many problems. What's best is these codes came from HGI stays using the golf program.

So for $99, I get 2-rounds of golf + free cart + pair of concert tickets. Doesn't get any better than that! :cool:

As a thank-you for all the help that the Hilton sub-forum has given me, I have one extra code that I am happy to offer up for free. Normally this would go to SPAM, but I would prefer that a HHonors person get it.

How long has it been taking after your stay to get the redemption code? My only stay during the promotion period has been an award stay, so it's unclear to me if/when I should be getting one of these. I guess it's off to fight with customer service. :rolleyes:

My rewards are posting at the same time as my points (so a few days after the stay). I am still watching this thread for a response on whether or not these bad boys are transferrable. I have 10 and I have no idea whether I am going to be able to use them or not given some of the tales of difficulty in cashing them in. Plus, I think at this point most of the concerts have passed.

Yeah, the promo codes are just sitting in my inbox. Same here, gotta look today.

I have 1 credit from a stay in Toronto last month, and will get a 2nd for a stay in Miami next week. Darien Lake Performing Arts Center is the closest venue to me, but there are no shows I'm interested in. That said, the idea of selling the tix on eBay or craigslist is intriguing, though I doubt they'll yield enough to be worth the hassle.

not sure if this will work for anyone, but I ended up redemming my codes for a concert that I think i can sell on Stubhub. You can print the tickets at home for $5 each and if I sell for 20-30 each, I'll make a little money Stubhub charges 15%. If I don't I'm only in for $15 which is not to bad.

I've been randomly checking venues since the promo began. New concerts have been added over the last few weeks, so just because your nearest venue shows up blank don't give up. Eight shows at Bogarts in Cincy recently came online. Sadly, none interested me but at least it shows they are still adding shows -- some as late as the end of November.
