Hilton HHonors - ES new ad campaign: Business Balance

Outside Union Station in Washington, DC today, a group of young, attractive women were handing out packets of little cards (about the size of a hotel room key) for Embassy Suites' new campaign. The cards offer travel tips on the back and pictures of people doing yoga exercises on the front.

The cards refer you to http://businessbalance.com.

The site is weird... it offers tips for business travellers with subtle ads for Embassy Suites thrown in.

There's also links to another Embassy Suites ad-site:
http://myomelet.com/ (yes, it's a site all about omelet making at ES)

I'm guessing this is brand new since there's some polls on the site and near as I can tell, only 5 people have responded so far.

It's a cute idea ... but honestly, I was looking for some sort of coupon or promotion and was a bit disappointed.

Funny to see Embassy Suites trying to promote themselves as a business destination. At the bottom of tier when I have a choice. They are the noisiest (due to Atrium design), IMHO. Overrun with families, youth groups, sports teams, weddings, etc.

I think they are getting too many of the Camp Embassey complaints, but looking at the website it seems to push value. . I like ES hotels, but will never stay at one on the weekend. Certain locations are also bad, if they are major tourist areas. As I said I like them, but only Monday through Thursday, in a bussiness area.
