American Express Membership Rewards - Overall Platinum Benefits?

Hi,

I am not sure if this question has already been answered.

I recently got an offer for Amex Platinum card and i was wondering what are the things i should look for before accepting it.

Currently I have an Amex rewards gold plus card.

Also i am travelling on an International flight in couple of months. What all benefits i can get by having a Platinum card?

I generally travel 3 out of 4 weeks in a month.

For your upcoming international trip you might get lounge access through the Platinum card, depending on which airline you are flying. That's about it. For future travel lounge access, the FHR program and the domestic 2-4-1 fare deals seem to be the most commonly used and valuable benefits that are offered. But make sure that you are going to be able to or want to use those benefits; otherwise you're just paying extra for the same credit.
