Central America - Travel guide recommendations?

I'm not having good luck finding travel guides specifically for Panama that have lots of photos. Many seem to have maps, but no photos.

I've also been looking for children's books that might be useful, but everything seems to be all about the canal and less about the city/country itself.

This is sort of an odd research project; I'm looking for photos of places and objects for artists to render in 3-d. :) If anyone has suggestions of what I could procure for them, I'd love to hear them!

Have you seen the Panama title in the National Geographic Traveler series? It has color photos throughout.

Also check your local library for the Panama title in the Enchantment of the World series (Children's Press/Scholastic).
