with my favorite Renaissance (50-60 nights a yr) having lust Deflagged itself from Marriott and becoming a Ramada, I signed up for WR and found some really nice Wyndham Collection Hotles in Europe where I figured I would use my soon to be stash of WR pts. NOT

Just called WR since I was all over the WR website and couldnt find any of the WC Hotels listed. Turns out they dont participate :td::td:, I didnt ask about earning when staying there I wanted to cash out for staying in them.

At least Marriott lets you cash out for a Ritz Carlton stay, although staying at a RC doesnt earn pts or night credit.

The only decent places I found are Wyd Hotel; Rio Mar in PR (the old Westin), London (the old Conrad), and of cause the soon to be Ramada where I will be staying. 30k,45k,25k in that order.

Are there any other decent places, the only other choice is to earn even more Airline miles that cant be used for Standard award tkts, or stay elsewhere and pay 2x the rate

There is a quite extensive list of international properties that you can redeem Wyndham Rewards points at.

While it is true that you can't redeem at "Wyndham Grand Collection" properties (with the exception of 3 hotels that allow redemption: the 2 properties you mentioned, plus the Veneto in Panama City), there are many other properties available, including many Sol Melia and Gran Melia properties and some Wyndham all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.

Also keep in mind that outside of the US, many Days Inns/Ramadas/HoJos are much nicer.

You may have already found this, but here is a list of all of the international properties available for Wyndham Rewards redemption.
