American Express Membership Rewards - extra cardholders on International Euro Platinum Account

Just thinking of adding a couple of close friends to my AMEX Platinum International Euro Account.

Anyone know what background checks AMEX in Brighton do on supplementary card holders and are all holders proposed by me automatically accepted for a card.

They will perform the basic address verification (copy of utility bill, letter from bank verifying the address etc.) according to my experience.

Depends on how long it takes to verify the address. In my experience after the verification was done, the cards arrived in about a week. The verification will depend on how fast you (supplementary card applicant) will submit the required information.

Slightly OT but I didn't want to start a new thread since it kind of flowed in with the OP question....I want to give an additional card from my account to someone that hasn't had the greatest credit history (too long of a story to tell here). Does their credit history impact me at all if I give them an extra card from my account? Question might be stupid but I got a little concerned when I noticed that they ask for the additional cardholders SS# on the application. I have perfect credit and I don't want to mess with it by associating someone with bad credit with my account.
