American Express Membership Rewards - International Dollar Card address verification?

Hi guys...
I was wondering if any of you who currently have an International Dollar Card (IDC) has been able to use it for e-commerce purchases while in the US?
This is because I heard of stories of IDC cards that sometimes fail online address verification, even if you have a US billing address at Amex.
I suspect because it's a card actually issued in the UK.
Any experience?

this was such a pain in the rear until a savvy customer service rep at Delta cracked the code.
You need to give them your complete billing address, however, for COUNTRY you need to put in United Kingdom (regardless of where your actual billing address is located)
Doing this, should make all transactions go through.

You mean giving my US billing address in the order form, with country UK?
I'm a bit undecided if going on requesting this IDC or better an US-issued Amex...

I've had a few problems since getting it but thankfully for my major purchases - flights etc all has gone ok. Works with Expedia, United plus other airlines, Ticketmaster all with my Country set as US as per my billing address. Some small online retailers have not worked and had to revert to my US Visa.
It would be great to sort this out.
Doing this, should make all transactions go through.
Unfortunately it does not. My IDC is billed to our UK address and it fails verification if I try to use it, for example, on Transport for London's Oystercard site. I can, of course, use the card at an Oystercard machine at any Underground station.

It even fails verification UK on UK??
Guess I better stick with an US-issued one...

I had a lot of problems using my AmEx IDC to purchase online. I spent a lot of time back-and-forth with them. There are several issues that can cause problems. One is the address format. Due to the fields for postal code and country appearing differently in the AmEx UK database from normal US style addresses (eg. zip code vs. postal code), sometimes address verification would reject.
After a lot of research, I also discovered that each merchant sets their own security level for address verification. Some have it set so high that the address has to match exactly, field by field, and this can never happen for a UK-issued card using a US address (or any non-UK address). In my case, my mailing address was Denmark with a 4-digit postal code, but this postal code was not in the same database mask as the UK postal code due to the format difference. So when a merchant had this exact match address verification set up, it wouldn't matter how I entered my address in their form, it could never verify.
So you will find some merchants where your card goes through without a problem (their security is set low), and others where you cannot get it to go through no matter what you do.
I also purchased from United once without any problem. In fact, I think I entered a US address using my UK-issued IDC which was set up with my Danish address, and it went right through.
At the end of the day, I got a U.S.-issued AmEx with the U.S. address, and keep the IDC with my Danish address, and use whichever one is appropriate for the purchase.
