Less than 24 Hours after Spirit Airlines announced its "Some Airlines are Reducing Flights - We're Reducing Fares up to 100% Off!" sale, the European Copycat RyanAir did a similar promo "2 Million Free Seats" sale. The only difference is that RyanAir actually charges nothing (2p for a r/t) and SpiritAir charges taxes and surcharges.

Ryanair have been doing these kind of promotions for years. I remember booking a free flight with them (inc. taxes) in 2000!

BTW, the FT filter kicks out the abbreviation for mom, but not dad.
