Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - PPT--Fiji (Denarau)

How long of a venture is this? How does one go about getting from PPT to Denarau?

I got a great deal on miles via Air Tahiti from JFK for 30k miles (AA Miles) RT! So I am trying to use hilton points and only choice that I am aware is in Denarau. So please help me understand how I can make this happen.

Air New Zealand flies from PPT to AKL and from AKL to NAN. If you have *A miles, I believe you can do this round trip for 20K miles in Y and 35K miles in J.

The mileage cost varies considerably by program (each has it's own award chart and award rules).

NZ has a couple of flights a week from PPT, so check schedules carefully (don't forget about the dateline). But if not staying in PPT and just using it to transfer to NAN, I'd forget about it - it is not a useful transfer point (and will cost a lot to stay overnight if schedules require this). Much easier to fly HNL/LAX-NAN directly on Air Pacific, or via AKL on NZ (from YVR/SFO/LAX).
