Hi ncbob, a warm welcome to FT (flyertalk).

I am sure you want to provide a little more information to us so that we can help you finding an option:

:-: Where are you (It will not help you if I give you the fares from Basel, will it?)
:-: How old are you and what is your profession (Student discount)
:-: Where is your destination?
:-: What kind of programs are you with? Maybe, the British Airline is more of interest for you than ANA

Awaiting your infos.

Welcome to FT! We can't even try to help you as we don't know where you'd be traveling from. Research the following sites:

matrix.itasoftware.com
kayak.com

Make a short-list of airlines that seem most promising in these results, and then visit their websites directly.

Sometimes even a small change to travel dates affects the fare significantly. So use any date flexibility to your advantage.

This procedure works reasonably well for me.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

It really is not in Flyertalk's overall mission statement to be a clearinghouse for deeply discounted fares. Now having said that everyone likes a bargain, and some related activity occurs, but usually discounts highlighted are for people who are just trying to collect miles. The destination often is unimportant.

I'll automatically transfer your thread to the budget travel forum, to get a more focused audience. In the interim, please respond to the earlier posters' questions, who need more info to assist you.

That is a pretty good summary of our attitudes here. However, when you think about it, it really is funny that in a travel related site, the fare paid and the destination should have come to be regarded as unimportant. :) However Budget Travel is indeed the most logical and most tolerant forum for such questions. Good luck to OP.

You got it to the point and the question will die without an answere ...
