Haven't paid much attention to the savings bond issue, but now that it will be gone soon perhaps I should take advantage. If I charge say $10,000,pay it off when the statement comes when can I buy bonds again and how soon can I cash them in with or without penalty? Sorry to be so late to the party!

Do a search, plenty of info out in FT on saving bonds. Plus some on pgary's personal website.

I too, think a search is in order, as well as this and other questions are answered on the Treasury site.
Having said that, the issue of repurchase on a CC is important, as some people exceed their limits by not understanding.
First KNOW your cc limit. Second do not forget that every charge since the last statement cutoff date is ADDed to the outstanding balance until your payment is received and CREDITED to your account.
I suggest calling you cc company before purchasing a second round to be sure your payment has been credited.
As to cashing them in, and penalties...this has been answered more than 10 times so do a search or go to the treasury web site. Get all the details.
This is not the game some people here seem to think. It is serious business. I bonds are one of the best fixed interest investment available today. Consider keeping them as such!?
