Hi SQ Forum,

I will be flying SQ220 dep 8.05am SYD time to SIN...

Just a quick question what is the meal serivce like? To begin... Breakfast? I assume it is too early to book the cook!? Or not? :p

Champers on departure...? @:-) Early, I know!

Any help would be great...

Cheers, AG.

Which cabin are you in?.

I flew SQ220 in F last week and the meal service was breakfast and lunch. I believe you can BTC on that flight.

If you wanted a glass of Krug (or Dom if you're that way inclined) the crew seemed more than happy to serve it at 8am. I didn't indulge but others in the cabin did.

Enjoy your flight

Flew sq220 in C 2 weeks ago. Overall good service, full breakfast and lunch. Champagne available and accepted!

Enjoy

I enjoy the breakfast...crazy, but I enjoy the boiled eggs (and usually bacon or ham) in F...must be a cheap deal for SQ. I ask for kopitiam eggs and usually am rewarded by a delighted crew happy to oblige...still asking, but missing, for the kaya toast!

I am glad I came across this thread.
I'm flying SQ220 in F next week, Wednesday the 15th, SYD-SIN.

I have called SQ twice and asked the same question--can I BTC two meals for this flight?
Got some weird answers--
1) "There is only Lunch served, no breakfast"
2) "There is both breakfast and lunch, but I only see the Lunch menu"

So.... anyone with actual experience on SQ220--can one actually BTC for both Breakfast and Lunch? Does SQ sometimes NOT offer BTC (other than when it's a Continental Breakfast or Refreshment service)?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Just got off this flight a couple of hours ago

There is breakfast and lunch (I didn't BTC)

Never too early for Champagne. I chose the Krug and think was the only one drinking (and the Cos d'estournel later)

I made sure, despite the poor efforts of the others in the cabin that the wine was not wasted

11th July is Saturday, not Wednesday. If it is on the 11th I am also on that flight in F.

I always enjoy the Cos d'estournel with lunch or dinner (sometimes in between)!

Oops sorry. Edited to the correct date (Wednesday 15th July).
I'm flying AKL-SYD in NZ C on Saturday the 11th.
Good to know it's 2 meals. Now to call back SQ for the 3rd time and see about BTC. :)

I am pretty sure they will BTC for the lunch, as they have asked me what I would like. I mostly don't worry as I'm still digesting breakfast and only need something simple!

I took SQ 220 last month in F.
Very nice flight--check in was smooth, the airport isn't too busy so early.
You can use the SQ lounge, which is decent but not too great.
I prefer to use the NZ lounge next door. (automatic pancake maker!)
SQ 220 menu will be posted on the F menu thread.
But it was an interesting menu because, while a full Breakfast and Lunch are offered--you can only BTC for Lunch.
Hint: Ask for "Fruit Plate" AND also BTC for the flight; the FA asked if I'd simply like to have the gorgeous Fruit Plate meal replace my normal fruit, and still got a real main dish for breakfast.
Lovely!
