Obscure2k TravelBuzz Moderator MarcPHL May 15, 08, 3:04 pm Depends on which one's you buy I suppose. My Bose QC3s have worked on every plane I've been on (comes with a 2 prong adapter and one of the prongs folds down). getdev May 15, 08, 8:18 pm Did you get them from Best Buy? Weez_1000 May 15, 08, 8:30 pm getdev, i think it depends on the earphones. any set you buy will be capable of working on any plane. You will need the 2 prong adapter that you sometimes get with earphones but if not they are usually available in the airports and almost always at radio shack. All the BOSE headphones Ive purchased came with the 2 prong adapter. Here is one (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103860) lin821 May 15, 08, 8:48 pm What Weez_1000 said. It doesn't matter where you buy your headphones. It only matters which headphones you buy. Some come with the adapters, some don't. Depending on the airline seats, sometimes you don't even need the adapters (I think). If you have a specific headphone in mind and are flying a particular airline cabin, spell out the details so folks can tell you a more definite answer. getdev May 16, 08, 4:20 pm Thanks for the info. getdev, i think it depends on the earphones. any set you buy will be capable of working on any plane. After a few trips listening to movies in one ear, I picked up an adapter at YUL for $4... ever since that, my planes have all had standard headphone jacks *facepalm* ilgoldstein May 19, 08, 2:53 am After a few trips listening to movies in one ear, I picked up an adapter at YUL for $4... ever since that, my planes have all had standard headphone jacks *facepalm* THAT is VERY funny!! getdev May 22, 08, 2:53 pm Ilgoldstein, Are all of them doing it or as far as you know just yours? |
