Coming Soon! New AAdvantage DiningSM Web Site
New Site will Launch this Summer at the same web address: aa.rewardsnetwork.com . You''ll enjoy great new features:
# Restaurant reviews written by members
# More information about restaurants, bars & clubs
# Improved search capabilities
# A bold new look and feel
# And much more!
Oh well, there goes the neighborhood. :)
I personally can't wait for the "bold new look and feel".
All of the programs' sites currently look very similar (and old IMO), except for the RN home page and the Delta and Midwest pages - perhaps this is the new format coming to AA?

The new page has pics of the outside of the joint, and lists them by distance from plugged-in zip code -- great for out-of-town hunts.
There are two comment fields: regular one, for "suggestions" (complaints) and a second public area that is, I believe, intended for positive remarks only, such as parking hints and recommended dishes.
The you-have-mail function is much less clunky; there's an icon on the main screen, telling you how many messages waiting, to click on. Also, the restaurants display in a list format, without photos, so that the green "new!" jumps out visually from a screenful of listings (I think the Leaving Soon(!) ones do as well).

I hope the new page has the capability to do searches on mobile phones. That would be awesome ^

I bet you're right... it actually DOES look like a "bold new look and feel". :)
And I agree that they need a good mobile interface. The Age of the Treo/Blackberry/iPhone/etc is upon us... and that type of person is who they are targeting with RN in the first place.

Lets just hope they get the bugs worked out (at those other sites) before they launch at AA RN. Right now the only bug I have at AA RN is that the search first comes up in a messed-up order (but resorting to something else then back gives correct Distance Low-to-High results).
Meanwhile, there's a whole thread just below of major bugs aplenty with the Delta RN site.
In addition to everything mentioned there, this morning I rated a Detla RN dine, and it asked me to rate my dines at other establishments. The other "establishments" were links labeled stuff like "RATE YOUR DINE BONUS"!!! (Ie, not names of restaurants but names of bonus postings!) But in the light of not being able to do successful searches at all :td:, I guess that's a minor bug...

I thought I was the only one with that bug! I know there was an idine participant just steps away from my house but it doesn't show up on the first search distance low-to-high. But when I do the method similar to yours it correctly shows my nearest dining place: 0.1 miles :D
