I talked my way into an UG from Biz to First on a recent flight from ZRH to EZE. I did this at the gate and signed a receipt OK-ing 40,000 miles to be deducted from my account. I am not a Travel Club or TC Gold member. The agent was just being nice I suppose.

Anyway, I just checked my Qualiflyer transactions and they have deducted 50,000 miles even though I signed a form agreeing to 40,000 to be deducted. Does anyone know what the correct amount is for an UG?

According to the Calculator on www.qualiflyer.com, (http://www.qualiflyer.com,) you need 50'000 miles to be upgraded from C to F-class from ZRH to EZE.

I suppose you could tell Qualiflyer that you signed for 40k and thus they should return 10k to your account. You should try maybe it will work.

In any case the regular amount should normaly be 50k.

I thought 50K was a bit too high for the UG. Flight was very nice but quite expensive. I called QG and asked about the 50K and they sent a message to ZRH and I can't believe they are going to refund the 50K to my account. They said I should not have been UGed in the first place and since it was their mistake I could get my miles back http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif I thought that was overly generous http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
