Austrian Air Sep Passengers +6.9%, 9 Months Passengers +1.6%
Austrian Airlines AG said Wednesday that its passenger numbers in September rose 6.9% to 907,000, compared with the same period a year ago, but it didn't give a total for the year-ago period.
In the first nine months of 2002, passenger numbers rose 1.6% to 6.841 million, compared with the first nine months of 2001.
Available seat kilometers across the Austrian Airlines group in the first nine months fell 2.3%, while the passenger load factor rose 1.7 percentage points to 74%.
The Austrian Airlines group includes Lauda Air, Tyrolean Airways and Rheintalflug.
