Qualiflyer - Changing flights on award tickets

I have two award tickets booked for November. One takes me to HKG on Cathay and then I'm onwards to Oz on Qantas. all flights are Business Class Qualiflyer award tickets.
I don't think I'll need to change but, if I did, would there, for example, be any scope for changing my return date from Oz (which would involve changing both tickets)?
What would the charges be if this were possible?

Once the ticket has been issued you cannot change your routing - but you can change the flight date and time against a handling fee if the ticket is still valid.

I can confirm what Patron mentions. This summer I changed dates of flights on an already issued LX award ticket flying Iberia. I was unsuccessful changing routing.
In the conversations with Travel Club Gold helpline staff in Zurich one of the supervisors mentioned that with LX in exceptional cases they could do a change of routing after the award ticket is issued and the first segment is flown. However such a gesture would be an extraordinary service to a valued customer. It can never be done when the award flight is with an associated Qualiflyer partner airline like Iberia.

To change Award Tkets you have to pay 50 CHF per change of dates of flights numbers (eg LON-GVA from the morning flight to the evening flight).
Normaly no re-routing is permitted.
If the passager is a Circle member then the 50 CHF fee is free. Circle members can change awards tkets free of charge as much as they want.

Thanks for all the info.
I suppose one way of rerouting would be to cancel the ticket (pay the redopist charge) and then book a new ticket. Would they refuse to recredit the miles until you had sent back the tickets and they had processed them? Would they refund the taxes you paid?

They will only re-credit the miles after they have received the tickets http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif I experienced this once with a Finnair flight.

...and all paid taxes are non-refundable unfortunately.

I didn't try for F. I haved just over 100K points left and thought I'd rather use the extra points to go C (rather than Y) to the States next year rather than F on this trip.
I took the view that two C trips are better than one Y and One F. Others may disagree.

I had to cancel a awardticket issued on AA and got also the taxes i payed back.
Also i was able to book a new awardticket, in fact they made the reservation and charged my qg account after i brought the old ticket in.

I think that all depends on how you've earned the miles. I always book my awards in Y. But then again, I've also earned the miles by flying in Y; for example this spring 2 Flights (for less than 300€ in total) resulted in almost 100K miles http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

If I were to change both the outbound and the return section of a ticket at the same time would taht count as one change (and one change fee) or two changes (and two change fees)?

After I received the 240K(C)/80K(Y) promo I booked the following flight:
AMS --> ZRH --> GVA --> BCN
BCN --> GVA --> ZRH --> AMS at 140€
which resulted in:
5000 regular miles ((1000+500+1000+1000+500+1000)
3000 e>ticketing miles
1000 e>checkin miles
2000 online booking bonus
-----
11000 miles
then I repeated the routing a few weeks later, making a total of:
22000 miles
and then Swissair came up with a bonus for flying more than 9 segments before 14 april which was
80000 miles
thus creating a total of 102.000 miles (and some nice walks on the Ramblas) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

That is agood question but I cannot answer it. I think you should call and ask but I presume it will cost 2 times 50 CHF.

Thanks for your answer.
The runs you did were quite cheap.
Here in Switzerland the best deal was to fly from Bern to Basel and return in C-class for 190.- CHF.
For less then 1000.- CHF we were able to get the 240'000 bonus miles.

During the 240k promotion earlier this year a whole bunch of Q-flyers were doing the mileage run BSL-BRN return 5 times, which brought up to 305,500 Qualiflyer miles at a cost of CHF 980, or € 0.002 per award mile.
