The recent 50k Qualiflyer miles promotion reached a number of Q-flyers, see: http///www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum40/HTML/000820.html (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum40/HTML/000820.html).
During the 240k promotion earlier this year a whole bunch of Q-flyers were doing the mileage run BSL-BRN return 5 times, which brought up to 305,500 Qualiflyer miles at a cost of CHF 980, or € 0.002 per award mile.
After the 240k promotion beginning 2002 Qualiflyer became smart: LX flights within Switzerland are not part of the present promotion. Doing the run BSL-BRN now is out of bounds.
There is in my opinion no cheap way to get the required 20 segments in C for the match of 50k Qualiflyer bonus miles. As far as I know the cheapest international Swiss C-class fare is the route Friedrichshafen–Basel for € 313 return, tax included. The flight leaves FDH at 06:00 in the morning and BSL at 22:15 in the evening making a run undoable.
I am not sure that the following calculation still holds: Per return in C class: 2,000 award miles + 500 bonus miles (e-Check-in at BSL). Are there still bonus miles for e-Booking via the LX website and bonus miles for an LX e-Ticket? Ten returns will bring a 4,000 Travel Club or 6,000 miles Travel Club gold bonus.
Unfortunately a mileage run FDH–BSL sums up € 3130 for 75,000 Qualiflyer miles or € 0.042 per award mile. The promotion earlier this year was over 20 times better.
