I live in Santa Maria, CA and have heard rumors that Frontier is going to start service to COS later in the summer. Is there anyway to confirm this rumor? Who does Frontier code-share with?

Thanks

This sounds like a route for Express Jet but even then it's a stretch.

To answer the 2nd part of your question, Frontier only codeshares with Great Lakes Airlines which gets you to a lot of the smaller towns in the west (Think Page, AZ, Hays, KS, or Durango). I think that is all DEN based though.

Frontier is currently flying to COS through Denver with their Lynx aircraft (Q400's). Its a really short flight and can be quite rough in the afternoons due to the low altitudes and the short distance.

In addition to COS, Lynx is flying to Durango, Aspen, Grand Junction, Billings, Rapid City, Wichita, El Paso, Bozeman, and soon to Boise (Airbus and Q mix) and Fargo (I probably forgot a few).

Frontier code shares with Great Lakes to, I think, all their destinations unless they already fly there, like Grand Junction for example. However, Frontier will still interline your bags to Great Lakes if you take one of their flights to a destination that Frontier serves.

Great Lakes Route Map (http://www.greatlakesav.com/route_map/route_map.htm)(Check often, because they seem to be constantly adding destinations)
