Swiss pilots pulled from the skies
The authorities have ordered 34 pilots for the national carrier, Swiss, to stop flying a jet.
The Federal Office for Civil Aviation said the pilot aptitude tests for the Embraer 145 jet had been incorrectly administered.
The Office said three examiners hired by Swiss earlier this year to test pilots appeared to lack the appropriate qualifications.
A spokeswoman for Swiss said the airline had made a formal mistake but maintained it was not a safety issue.
