i seem to remember reading somewhere here that it is possible to get extra miles by booking on-line swissair. I cant find anything about this on swiss site or qualiflyer site. I have booked on-line with them three times this summer and certainly didnt get miles for booking.. is it just for people living in Switzerland?

betty boop, the bonus miles 2000 per booking is only available for people outside Switzerland. If you buy an online tket lets say from London to Zurich you will get the 2000 bonus miles for the booking. But if you buy the tket departing from Zurich to London you wont get the bonus.

Thanks, kooks.
I still cant find the rule, though.
I am in Warsaw, and it seems this is one of the places from which swiss dont do e-tickets. I cant work out if this bonus is for booking on-line or for booking an e-ticket, and whether I should get it or not from Warsaw.

oh its all so confusing!

The 2'000 bonus miles are for the online booking regardless the presence of an E-tket. When you book your flight you should get the banner with the 2'000 miles promotion on it.
500 bonus miles is given per segment flu on an E-tket. This is another thing.
My advice is the always try to book online and to fly with an E-tket. Cheap way to get bonus miles.

Good luck.

So far, WAW is not an e>ticketing destination:

Btw: why does Swiss cannot use e-tickets to destinations that Sabena could (before they stopped flying there?)

For example, I did a return-trip DUS-BRU-ATH with Sabena on an e-ticket last September (and got 4x1000 bonus miles)...

ATH is an e-ticket destination, I used one there last month. Granted, the check-in agent did look a little confused...

Oh, that's great... I "just" checked the above mentioned webpage, and Athens isn't listed there. But you're right: wenn I try to make a booking, "Ticket delivery" is set to e>ticketing...

BTW: When I get a companion ticket from my account, do I still get e-ticket-bonus for both my and my companion's segments?

You are earning e>ticket bonus miles for your paid ticket only.
