justplanes.com published this interesting story. Can it be true?
swiss confirmed it has had to cancel 240 flights in a month while others were delayed.
Most of the flights were delayed or canceled due to mechanical problems.
Swiss has created a task force to find solutions to these problems.
Not too good......
SR went bust because of inept management...
Crossair had a couple of crashes before the new launch.........
Swiss airspace has been found to be incompetently managed......
Now it would seem that they have bad luck mechanically at best, have shoddy maintanence at worst......
Not too good!
Most of the mecanicals did occur on former Crossair aircraft. SWISS CEO André Dosé said that a possible cause might be that these planes are now far more used than with old Crossair. The task force should investigate this.
Personally, I find that - plus the lack of any investigative reports on the two Crossair crashes - uncomforting at best.

A friend of mine recently flew from Nice to Geneva. His flight was delayed 7 hours due to mechanical problems.

Last monday, Swiss had to cancel the flight MAD-BSL (17:10), because a wing was hit by a luggage truck! We already sat in the aircraft.
